The 1976 Montreal Olympic Games was the occasion when she became a legend when she became the first to score a perfect 10 in bars that were symmetrical. Plus, Nadia Comaneci was able to score another six perfect tens and become the youngest Olympic Gold medalist. The Romanian gymnast was able to attract international attention and assist in helping Romania establish itself on the world map. With an impossible result she became a legendary figure and promoted athletics across the globe. It changed how people viewed female gymnasts. Her impact on the Olympics was so powerful that two of her routines such as the toe-on movement and release have been designated in honor of her. Both are rated as high-level difficulty. Aside from the Olympics she also became a star at World Championships and European Championships. Her performance earned her the title of one of the greatest gymnasts to ever compete. The US she also tried to market sporting goods and models in her new country after she left.
